The laptops, notebooks, and netbooks that have arrived ever since have been a mixed bag. Some have been marvels in design. And others, though not particularly dazzling, have shattered our expectations of what’s possible in portable computing. It is that rare product, however, that earns high marks for both its aesthetics and its performance. And they do exist. Many of the laptops included here are proof of that.
